Update: Bolivian President Evo Morales to Speak in Boston (2/26)

BOSTON—The President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, is giving a speech next
Tuesday, February 26th at 7 p.m.

VENUE CHANGE: The speech will now take place at the Cathedral Church of
St. Paul (Tremont St across from the Park St. T stop) in downtown Boston.

Press Credentials: All media representatives that plan to attend the
President’s speech must sign up for press credentials at
http://evoinboston.org/now/media.htm a.s.a.p. Media representatives who
have not signed up for credentials in advance of the event will be
denied entry to the Cathedral Church of St. Paul by Bolivian state security.

No Official Press Conference: There is no official scheduled press
conference with President Morales at the venue. However, there may be an
opportunity for media representatives to have an informal press
conference with the President at the conclusion of his speech. The
President himself will decide whether he wishes to field questions from
the press at that time.

Outdoor Press Set-Up: President Morales is expected to arrive at the
Cathedral Church of St. Paul on February 26th at 6 p.m. However, given
usual traffic delays, he will likely arrive sometime between 6 p.m. and
7 p.m. Media representatives who would like to set up outside the venue
to record his arrival may do so, and—security concerns depending—may be
able to ask him some quick questions as he leaves his car to enter the
building. No special press credentials are necessary for outdoor set-up
at the present time.

A coalition of local community-based organizations has organized this
event at the request of President Morales—who is visiting the United
States as a private citizen at the invitation of the Carter Center.
